Amar joined unKAP-ed Legal, PLLC, after serving Saint Thomas University School of Law as a Fellow for Academic Support and subsequently as Associate Director of Academic Success, teaching academic excellence related courses, including Advanced Legal Skills; Bar Prep Skills, and Legal Skills. In addition to mentoring and guiding future attorneys, Amar’s interest includes “pure” legal practice: legal research and writing.
Amar also enjoyed other teaching responsibilities and taught Legal Research and Writing; Advanced Legal Writing; and Appellate Advocacy. Prior to joining Saint Thomas Law, Amar experienced private practice at The Geller Law Group, P.A., where he focused on extensive legal research; drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and memoranda of law for civil litigation, including contract, corporate, and torts cases; and trial preparation.
A graduate of Saint Thomas Law, Amar excelled in law school as a research assistant, a Notes & Comments Editor of the St. Thomas Law Review, was selected to the prestigious Florida Supreme Court Internship, served as a federal law clerk, and as an American Bar Association Representative.

After excelling in law school as a research assistant, law review member, federal law clerk intern, and graduating with honors in the top five of her class at Saint Thomas University School of Law, Krysten A. Pogue, the founder of unKAP-ed Legal, PLLC, became an Assistant State Attorney for the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit. While working for the government, Krysten handled misdemeanor cases including: DUI, battery, stalking, possession of cannabis, criminal mischief, and driving offenses; as well as felony level crimes including: burglary, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, armed trespassing, felony DUI, and leaving the scene of an accident with serious bodily injury.
